Sanctuary is more than a place — it is a promise.

At Mercy House Global, we create safe, hope-filled spaces where women can heal from trauma, gain education, and job skills, and step into dignified, independent futures. We serve teen moms, refugee women, and survivors of trafficking — people for whom sanctuary becomes a place where shame is replaced with dignity and futures are rewritten.

Through our Local Hope Program in Houston, TX:

  • Serve over 80 refugee women and children each year
  • Provide free bi-weekly Bible & life skills classes for women and children
  • Host monthly Empowerment Luncheon offering life skills training, support groups, and community
  • Provide workforce development, artisan skills training, internships, and job readiness support
  • Offer grants and scholarships for vocational programs, certifications, and higher education
  • Deliver trauma-informed care, mental health access, and assistance with school enrollment and government programs
Local Hope Program Houston
Rehema House Kenya

Through our partnership with Rehema House in Kenya, we:

  • Rescue pregnant teen girls from trafficking, abuse, and extreme vulnerability and provide safe residential maternity care
  • Have served nearly 500 girls and their babies through holistic residential care
  • Provide in-home tutoring, secondary school fees, college tuition, and vocational training in cosmetology, cooking, tailoring, and more
  • Cover transportation, uniforms, food, and school supplies so education is fully accessible
  • Empower artisans with dignified employment and sustainable income opportunities
  • Offer trauma-informed care, life skills training, mental health support, and holistic development
